Proctoring Suggestions

Each institution has its own guidelines regarding proctored exams.  Always contact your institution to find out your options when it comes to test proctors.  Common avenues for proctoring include:

  •     ProctorU  an online live and secure automated proctoring service.  This costs approx. $50 per exam

  •     Objective person  this includes anyone who is not related to you or that you work with or for. Should also not be a close friend. You can try contacting your UTM to see if they are able to proctor or provide a volunteer.

  •     Testing Center  NMSU-A provides external test proctoring for a fee; contact the Academic Support Center for details at 575-439-3853.

Ahrens Memorial Library can offer a study room with a computer and desk space for your proctoring needs.  You schedule it the same way as other special public use room in the library. You and your proctor will have solitude for the exam.  If there is the need for a special program or lock-down browser, you can speak with our IT person a week or more in advance to see if we are able to accommodate the request.
